Welcome to my webpage! My name is Nick Bausch and I began my teaching career here at Louisville in the fall of 2007. I find it incredibly rewarding to assist students in navigating the world of the social sciences and learning how they are all connected. It is a fascinating field that is all linked by one common element--humans! The classes that I teach are at their core all about human behavior and causality. Every day is a journey during which we learn a little more about ourselves and the world around us.
In my free time I enjoy traveling the world as much as possible. I spend 10 months of the year teaching about the world and the rest of the year trying to better understand it. I have traveled to 6 of the 7 continents, walked upon the Great Wall of China, scuba-dived on the Great Barrier Reef, hiked the Inca trail to Machu Picchu, stood at the base of the world's highest mountain and climbed the tallest peak in Africa. However, my greatest enjoyments from traveling are meeting the people who live in these diverse locations and seeing how they live their lives and then bringing their experiences back to Nebraska to share.
